My intake has the following : C7AE-9425E with a larg S near the numbers. From what I have found this is the correct manafold for a 390 4V but Im not sure about the "C7" is this a date or brand designation. the manafold is on a 67 XR7 GT. Thanks in advance to any one who has the answer.

C= 60's
D=70's
7=the year in the decade
C7=1967
I would have to look in a book for the rest of the number, but there are people here that will know off the top of thier heads what it is. Steven Hawking like knowledge at this site when it comes to Cougars.

hope this helps

C=decade of design, 1960's
7= Specific model year the design was intended for, 1967
A= Car Line design costs billed to, Ford
E= Design type, Engine

9425 = Intake manifold casting
E= Change level of design, fifth change

There should also be a date code something like 6M4 for example decoding as folows:
6= year of manufacture (1966)
M= month of manufacture (December)
4 = day of month

Remember, model year 1967 castings were made beginning around June 1966. Production of 1967 vehicles began after July 4, 1966.
