I'm sorry to say my Ol' Cat was in an accident last Sunday morning while taking my family to Church (Sunday drive). Everyone is okay, but I twisted my ankle somehow. A guy in a pick up tried to make a U-turn in the intersection and I T-boned him. He said he didn't see me...so I ended up smashin in his door, breaking his windshield and dented his quarter panel and front wheel, he ended up having to get towed...poor guy had to be treated by the ambulance for lacerations. just a unfortunate moment.

The Cougar damage is surrounded around my front valance, bumper, driver fender, driver fender extension, driver side grill and the metal piece that sits between the bumper and the grill. Still drove it home.

Good old American steel...

Now does anyone have any extra parts laying around they wouldn't mind selling to get the Ol' Cat back to its original glory?

Sorry to hear about the accident but glad everyone was okay. Reminds me of this youtube video of good old american steel vs. modern day technology.

Who do you guys think would win in a head on collision involving a 1959 impala of a boat vs. a 2009 impala?

AWE man! Sorry your cat has to go lick her wounds....glad nobody was really hurt though. Sounds like she's repairable - that's good. Plenty of parts have been listed lately on CL and here/ebay/wccc....be sure the insurance has a properly weighted value though!! You may need a restoration specialist estimate....

I have everything you need in driver quality or better. May cost too much to ship, but let me know if you have interest and we can talk.

okay thx a million guys, I've gotta wait for the insurance people to do their thing before I start buying stuff and bringing her back to [email protected] Fooster75 I'm going to be making a trip out there in a few weeks so let me know how much your asking and I'll bring the cash with me. @ Scott Gregory I'll definitely get back to you on that when the insurance money comes in...

It's such a relief to have you guys around.

I saw a TV show recently where they crashed an old Cadillac into a new one. Very similar results. Neat video. Thanks for posting it 70 Cougar.

100 bucks for both, price negotiable . a cool thing i did when i needed parts was downloading a craigslist app on my smartphone then adding the keywords cougar , mercury , 1967, 1968. the app automatically tells you when an new item appears under your keywords, just add locations that your willing to drive to on the keywords search.it takes the hassle out of searching craigslist yourself. i found door and trunklid within a week and ive seen everything you needed on there too

Don't kid yourself, new cars are much safer than the old ones.

yeah they are safer but u know I had to pump the Cougar up because I'm a fan and my whole family walked away without a scratch! U know I'm gonna brag on my Cat because of that hahaha...it'll be one of those stories I tell my grand kids "You know I can't stand these here crummy flying cars you kids got, cold fusion isn't nothing compared to a carburetor, my old cougar would plow right through one of those things!" sounding silly and belligerent haha.

I would check with WCCC. They probably have everything you need plus not being that far away shipping would be less. There is a key advantage to buying from a business like WCCC. They have a reputation to uphold in the Cougar Community. It's called customer satisfaction.
