Please provide some good instructions on reconditioning my '67 manual steering box. I just removed it from the car, and have just cleaned off most of the gunk with the parts cleaner and brush. I want it to look original (same for steering linkage), and change the gear fluid (85/90?). What's the best way to drain the old fluid, and add new? The shop manual doesn't give much instruction with this one. Thanks, Eric.

No help providing website

I want to recondition my gearbox, not buy another one. Anyone have some steps to recondition it? Also, I tried to update my profile, and after clicking save just received message something like "... no threads available".

Step 1. Buy the Ford Factory Service Manual
Step 2. Manual Steering Gear section is toward the front.
