When I bought my 69 XR7 this spring, I was excited because it was a 351W with 4V carb. Afterall, that's what the sticker on the air cleaner said!

Then I learned how to read the VIN and discovered the difference between an H and M code.:uhoh: Maybe that's why it was so cheap?

Anyhoo, how can I tell which Holley carb I have? I couldn't find any tags or numbers on it. Am I not looking in the right places? Thanks.

It's usually stamped into the metal on the airhorn or on top of the carb case....should be something like 10221-Y(part number) 30234 (date code)

I'm thinking the stamp will be more like "LIST-XXXX-X":

The engineering PN above will likely not be present unless it was a Ford carb (unlikely from what you have described).
