Hey there cats,
Got a question. What would cause my motor (1987 302 HO roller motor w/ 40,000 miles) to idle at over 1000 RPMs? I just rebuilt my Holley 600 and I have to run it rich to keep the idle down. I've even got the timing at about 7 degrees. It was also doing this when I had my Carter on there as well which leads me to beleive that its not the carb. But I cant quite figure it out. It just really hurts when I put it in drive (CLUNK). I checked all my lines and I cant find whats going on. Thanks in advance.
