I just bought a 1970 xr7 and while looking for a drain o the battery I came across something I don't know what it is . It was hanging next to the fuse box under the dash . Its a small box with a label on it saying " TYPE II ELECTROINICS PKG. (Only works with TYPE II Harness and servo) . It has two lights on it labeled power and engage . It also has a dial on the side. Anyone have any ideas ?

I think it may be an old school alarm. It's not a factory thing for sure.

Al is probably right, I would have guessed either Flux Capacitor, or Continuum Transfunctioner.

Aftermarket alarm would also be my bet, the one in my car looked similar. Look for splined connections further "upstream", there should be one going to the ingnition switch at some point.
