Today a had a small puddle of transmission fluid under car. It seems to be coming from a open metal tube line located about 1 1/2 inches above the transmission data plate as you are lying on your back. This is also near where the extension housing connects to the transmission on the opposite side from the vacuum diaphram. The other end of this metal line feeds back into the transmission about 1 1/2 to 2 inches above where the trans dipstick tube enters the transmission.
What is this line and its purpose. Should it be capped? I see no stray lines or hoses it should be hooked up to.:1zhelp:
