I am looking to replace the flywheel and clutch in my 1969 S code 4 speed vert. I believe the clutch assembly would come with the pilot bearing, throwout bearing, clutch cover/pressure plate and the clutch disc assembly.

I would like to NOT get a ceramic or carbon fiber disc. Are other available?

For the flywheel I would like to gat a steel one instead of a cast iron one.

Are these available and if so can anyone recommend where? How do I know the exact flywheel to get? Is knowing the motor, year and transmission enough?

Any help or recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Bill,

You should be able to buy all of what you want the way you want it. I like Centerforce and their dual friction setup works great for me (no difference in how it drives/grabs). I bought my SFI steel flywheel from an ebay seller (909raceparts I think it was, best price) and it is a PRW brand as I recall. Yes, the vitals on your car/engine/trans should be all that is required to buy the right parts. Hope this helps.

Regards,

Bob
