My family used to own a Cougar in the '60s in NJ, and I recently found a photo of the rear of the car. I'm trying to learn a model year and other details, to see if I'd like to try to find a restored one to buy. Any tips would be much appreciated! Thanks. Cougar (2).jpg

1967, in 68 front and rear marker iights were mandated. And this car does not have them.

Thank you! If folks can provide any more info for this novice so I can try to find a restored version of this model, I would really appreciate it!

Create an alert on Bring-a-Trailer for a well kept or restored example of a 67 or 68.
Be patient, do some reading on the color, engine & option package you want. One will turn up. Be ready to sacrifice some preferences.
Determine your budget.
When one appears, let folks comment on one you like to truly understand the good and bad of it.
Pull trigger if you are inclined to do so.
Enjoy a great cat.
They key here is to buy it done and ready to enjoy, unless you have mad skills, a shop and can do bodywork yourself.
