Ok I need a heat valve for Tiffany... The one that the mustang guy is trying to sell me does not look like the one that was in there or like the one in redcat.... Those of you with "stock" 67/68 with factory A/C take a look at your's and see if it looks like this... It would be on the passenger side firewall where the hoses go into the firewall for the heater core...... both of mine do not look like this.... IS this the STOCK valve???

Thanks

Don

Well, to answer both of your questions;

New old Stock Valves like the two pictured are very rare and would probably sell for much much more. Don't forget your competing with "all" 67 & 68 Mustangs too!
The replacement Valve that the Mustang guy wants to sell you
works just as good, even the bracket holes line up .

Second question, Nah

BUT, There is something you can try. Many times these control valves are thrown away because they stick and people
think that they are no good anymore. Many times it's not the case. Just a little corrosion.

Go to this website http://www.bhi.co.uk/hints/rust.htm
You can learn how to clean one by using ELECTRICITY!!

Also, Eastwood sells a paint kit that will make it look like new.

I paid something like $75 for mine 10 years ago. Don't know what they sell for today but I am sure it's more because you just don't see them for sale.

Well I called everywhere across the country today with no luck... It seems that the ford part number will automatically cross over to the motocraft one.... But I have a line on a used one that I can maybe restore. and right up the road!!!!
