She was gong fine on the way back from where we bought her, until the headlights were used, then the battery went dead in about an hour, had to drive 180 kms home in the pickup to get 3 spare batteries and she used them all up by the time we got home.
Took her in to the battery place and they said the alternator was not charging, took her to the auto electrician and he said he needed to keep her for a day to 'check' it over, I said no way was she going to be out of sight for a day, [horror stories about 'test' drives going round in my head]. How difficult is it to check if its the alternator or the regulator? I mean, how much time does he 'really' need to check it out, and could it be anything else, I am going to start running out of batteries or going to have to buy a few more chargers.
