Ok guys, I can rebuild a motorcycle w/ my eyes closed and I can pull the headlight switch out of my 71 F100 in about 5 seconds but how do you take it out of the cougar. In the truck there is a little button you hit and the chrome knob just pulls right out. Is it the same on the cougar? If so what orintation is the push tab? Also, the round bezel on the outside, does it unscrew or what? I'm trying to repair the vacume part of the switch. I have traced not having headlight doors to that switch.

Thanks
Austin

On my 69 there is a button to press to remove the shaft and then after it is out you can screw the center piece out to remove the bezel. That is if I'm remembering right.mm

Hey Austin, the release button on the 67 is on the bottom of the switch and you would push up to release...should be the same on the 68 switch. As for the bezel, there are really two bezels...the outer one with "lights" written on it which is stationary, and the inner bezel which screws into the switch.
