I tying to select the paint to paint my 68 with. I came across the Alsa coatings site. It seems like the paint is more catered to the custom jobs opposed to the other brands that market more towards the collision repair or higher volume jobs. Does anyone know about Alsa? Is this a top end paint? What are the top in paint brands and lines for the best custome paint job?

Honest to goodness, I would check out the collision shops in your area, see what they use. Ppg, dupont, basf. Make a connection with a paint supplier, and run with them. Aftermarket companies, such as you have mentioned, don't always have area reps that are willing to give up their knowledge, or help. Seems like there is always a ppg or dupont rep that is willing to go the extra mile for you, instead of just yakking with some guy, reading what should be done off of a computer generated answer sheet. I'd go with flesh and blood in person, rather than someone who seems nice over the phone. Oh, and yes, I've heard of Alsa.
