Can anyone tell me what the advantages of one over the other is. I am in the process of putting in a dual system. The xr7 is a 73 and currently has glass packs on a single exhaust.

The crossover pipe (or H-pipe) goes between the exhaust pipes after the collectors, and is used to better balance and increase your exhaust flow.

The X-pipe is supposed to do the same thing, only more efficiently.

It will somewhat increase HP and torque up to your maximum power range, but in close-to-stock small-block tests, most results are minimal.

A muffler shop that does custom work can build and install one for you for about $100.
