I got the tilt wheel out this afternoon, as well as the padded dash. A few changes, the wheel isn't quite as nice, the column is solid, etc....
My question is about how to wash the padded dash. It is still 'weeping' from the factory. And while I want to make it clean to handle, I don't want to use anything too harsh on it. Maybe dish soap? Unicorn tears? I SO wish I had a 67 with a black dash...My 67 needs a red one...

I have had great luck on a '69 Mark III dash using diluted Simple Green in warm later and a toothbrush. It took a while, but the results were worth it.

I bought this stuff called "Tannery Leather Vinyl AND MORE" comes in a small red and yellow spray can. I used it on the wind lace trim over the windows and it did an excellent job. You just spray it on wait a few seconds and use a soft bristle brush and wipe off. It cleans and protects the vinyl in one. they came out great. I bought it at ACE Hardware Store.
