if i am crawling along in a parking lot and go over a decent size speed bump that causes the front end a pretty good bounce, the engine skips a beat briefly, almost as if there wasn't quite enough fuel in the bowls to keep the jets covered when the fuel is sloshing around. otherwise not many issues.

any thoughts? 351W with a Edelbrock Performer 1405 carb and intake. stock jets and needles. thanks

Another thought here....could it be too much fuel and when you hit a bump you slosh fuel into the manifold?

There should be more than enough fuel in there to keep that from happening unless the deal is the level is to low and it's closing off the needles as the front end rises..? If so you may need to adjust the floats a hair higher
