Whats the difrence between a 69 eliminator and a 69 xr-7 front end suspension? Was there modifacations done to beef it up or was it allready strong enough as is. Was there also mods done structually wise so the car wouldn't bend or twist?what else was beefed up?

Wheel bearing and hub difference

1969 Eliminators had a bigger wheel bearing size and different spindle and front brake rotors. All the 1970 - 1973 Cougars (and Mustangs, Mavericks, Comets) wirth disc brakes went to the larger size regardless of engine when equipped with disc brakes.

Parts for either are easy to find and cheap at Pep Boys or Napa for example.

The Eliminator also got a bigger sway bar (varies by engine size) and stiffer front shocks. Some models received a rear sway bar.

So could I put a spindle and rotor from a 70 on my 69? or is there more I would have to change?

You could do that......

The tie rod end is also diferent for 69 Eliminator and everything else 70 - onward. If you already have disc brakes I wouldn't bother, there is not a great deal of difference in strength.
