The holiday season kicked off, which means three things - gifts, gifts, gifts. You may be already surfing the gift shops looking to fill up a pile of wishlists, someone may be doing the same for you. But what are the chances that you're getting what you really want these holidays?

Thinking about gift ideas for automotive junkies we thought that a set of custom wheels might probably be a good present. What d’ya think?

This winter we’re giving one lucky car guy the chance to win a gift that any cur guy would REALLY want for Xmas. We’re giving away a SET OF CUSTOM WHEELS worth up to $1,000. Plus, we’ll raffle off $100 CARiD Gift Certificates every week through January 9, 2012!

To throw your name in the hat, just complete the entry form at CARiD Holiday Giveaway. Santa asks more!

Is this an all the spam you can eat affair?... ;>)

Can I be the first to invite you guys..? Or am I already #2?

REFERRER PRIZE: Participant who invites the most number of entrants into the Sweepstakes during the total Sweepstakes Period, will receive a Special Referrer Prize – $100 CARiD Gift Card, ARV: $100 USD.

BTW - I don't get it to show any wheels for Ford Mustang 1969 and the drop down menu's don't seem to work once you've drilled down the wheels section....? Doe's that mean there are none, or something is hosed up withthe site?

Going direct to carid.com, I managed to find and select some wheels (went with Foose Legend like I have) but no year before '74 in the menus (moostang), nothing before '90 (Cougar) and no info about backspacing, offset, bolt circle is shown. Guess after '73 owners let the vendor worry about all that? Price is $30 more than I paid elsewhere.

While it is nice they are giving something away for the holidays, it is beyond me why they would choose to advertise and sponsor a site which is dedicated to cars they do not address with their offerings. Even getting creative with the menu selections will not get you there or even show the pertinent info if one was to do their own fitment.

I did sign up for the giveaway though!

We do have a number of vintage lines for classics and muscle cars. In many cases, there are additional details that go into selecting wheels for vehicles like these. We would be happy to assist you in finding the right wheel for your application. Guys, the matter is that in reality having all the wheel tech sheets on the web site may hamper the operation of the entire website. Be sure that your request will be adressed quickly and fully in a 2 way back and forth conversation. Please give our wheels specialists a call at 1-800-505-3274 ext 8035 or email us @ [email protected]. Thank you.

The contest is officially over and here’s a quick report FYI. One more lucky guy has joined the list of $100 CARiD Gift Certificate Winners - congratulations to Corey Morgenstern and his 2010 Dodge Challenger, which might get some new auto parts very soon.

If you’re one of the winners and have already used your gift certificate, share the pictures of your new parts in this thread!

OK, we bet you’re curious to know who has won the Grand Prize, a free set of wheels from carid.com. The luckiest person in the contest is Aquaria Miller. She was extremely happy to win the new rims for her 2000 Audi S4 and have chosen to go with TSW Nardo wheels shown below.

The wheels have already been shipped to Aquaria and we’re looking forward to getting a photo report from her once the new wheels are installed.

Even though there can only be one winner in a contest, we really wanted everyone benefit our Holiday Giveaway. That's why we have sent out each participant whose name was not on the winning ticket a $100 discount on custom wheels as a small consolation prize. So check your inbox and enjoy the discount!

Thanks everyone for participating and remember to join us on Facebook and add CARiD on Google+ because we have many more cool prizes to give away in the near future!

You can have mine. I checked the site and they are still more expensive than most places out there, even after the discount.
