Hey guys, the seal on the tranny oil pan is starting to leak on my FMX, and I plan to replace it, and the oil filter, and was wondering what type of tranny oil I should use the on FMX tranny. And, ofcourse, any tips would be great!

Thanks!

The original fluid for the FOMOCO tranny's is TypeF Transmission fluid. You also use this in your power steeing pump, conv. top pump.

Same stuff for tranny and power steering. When my power steering has leaked it is always red.:) Same with the conv. top pump. Just my 2 cents.:)

If your fluid in your tranny or PS pump is brown than it's burnt. Change it now.

brown?? yeah, thats pretty bad there. change it. its not that hard. kinda hard to believe your car doesnt have the self changing PS fluid lol. theres a saying that i have picked up from many a Ford guy around here that relates to these cars...... if the power steering doesnt leak, its empty :D

One more question for you guys:

How many quarts of Type F fluid does the FMX take?

Thanks
