Hi,

I worked on my flashers, which would reset at the middle light, at both leff and right.

My first idea was to put back the original mechanical etc... parts. The good news is that the motor does it's normal noise. Yay! the original stuff might work just fine. Bad news is nothing lights up...

Being the mechanical guru that i am, I wound up with a bigger problem...:uhoh:

The red with white stripe wire was hanging like that. For one year, I attempted only once to work on the cougar, this winter, and must have gotten my big foot tangled with the flasher can... (the doctor says I'm much better now...)

I was planning to just look for, and tighten grounds. Now, I did a swell job of making a tedious job more tedious.

If, on the picture, you notice, the wire is stripped, there seems to be a similar lenght wire cover on the floor, and, there is a same wire code seemingly perfectly cut.

I plan to connect those two ends and see what happens. I have the assembly manual, and it's not helping. Can this connecting idea of mine do damage to anything?

I completely replaced the electronic unit, to insure I don't toast it.

steering flasher switch is new
