Guys, I am curious there was a Yellow 69 Eliminator Clone on E-bay that sold for 6000.00.
Car had no rust, exellent paint and interior, factory style steel wheels and came with the original 351W. Was this a good buy?

did u buy it? if so then sure its a good buy. if not im sure the guy who bought it thinks he got a good buy. the bottom line on "good buy" is what the purchaser thinks about it.

Excellent paint alone has got to be 5k or more.

Sure, excellent paint costs you $5000 or more at a paint or restoration shop, but the cost is like a new car. The 1st time you drive it and get the slightest scratch or chip, suddenly the value drops 1/2, and adds just a few thousand to the price of the car....And for those guys who put $10,000 or more into body and paint work, all I can say is Ouch! It is unlikely you will ever get that kind of $$ back out, unless you are restoring a really rare Cougar like a 428CJ, 390 G car, GTE, GT, etc....
