I have a 1999 mercury cougar (v6) and I recently went on a camping trip with it which went really bad. I bottomed the car out and the whole exhaust system was ripped off from the manifold. I didnt have enough room to put it in my car so i just left it and was going to get it the next day. When i went back the next day it was gone :uhoh:. So now I need to know would it be better to just get the whole stock exhaust system and have it put back on or would it be cheaper to upgrade. It is really loud to drive right now and Im not sure what exact parts to get so I need some help.

Sorry to hear of your loss. This site is for Classic Cougars, 60's and 70's. To answer your question...stock replacement will most likely be the cheaper route to take (you need to call around and check prices). I wouldn't drive it too much...you risk warping a valve. Not to mention with no exhaust you have no back pressure, and that will lead to other problems. Good luck to you.
