I have a 1969 XR-7 Convertible with a 351W (M code) and a factory 4 speed. The passenger side manifold has a casting number of C90E-9430-B and is cracked beyond repair. I found a good deal on the internet on a manifold with a casting number of C80E-8430-B. The guy selling this manifold said it is the same as mine. Does anyone know if these manifolds are the same?

Wow that was a fast reply. Thanks for the info. Guess I will have to keep looking. The guy selling the C8 manifolds only wants $50 for the pair and he said they are powder coated. If they are for a 428 CJ it might be a good deal.

I think I was mistaken in my reply. That's why I deleted it. Here are the casting numbers for 428 CJ manifolds.

This guy has the casting number you listed, but claims it is for 428 CJ. However, I don't see it listed in the above link. I'm guessing the 9 was rusty and looked like an 8.

WCCC has these casting numbers for your 351W

C9OE-9430-B (Passenger side)
C9OE-9431-B (Drivers side)

Still, I doubt a 1968 casting number would end up on a 351W exhaust manifold. I don't know for sure. I'll let an expert reply.

Got it. Thanks. I think I will keep on looking for my OE casting number or possibly go with a set of shorty headers, but that's a whole new can of worms.

Here are some more exhaust manifold casting numbers.

No sign of C80E-8430-B. All the exhaust manifold casting numbers have 9430 for passenger side and 9431 for driver side. C80E-9430-B is the casting number for a 1968 428 CJ RH exhaust manifold.

I am starting to think that the person selling the manifolds did not read the casting numbers correctly. He is located a few hundred miles away but I will be in his city on business next week so I will plan to stop by to verify the numbers if time permits.
