The factory muffler hangers were designed to attach to the muffler body. My Dynomax super turbo mufflers don't have the attachment points.

What did you do? Generic universal hangers?

I have been told that you can get the brackets and have them welded on. I am going to carefully cut the old bracktes off of my old mufflers. Another post said to tack weld two bolts on the back of the new muffler. Then the original brackets will go over those bolts.

I took a piece of flat steel bar and made my own brackets that I welded to the mufflers. The holes were drilled in the new brackets after the exhaust was up, so the alignment would be correct. Worked great in my opinion.

I like to weld long bolts on so you can adjust the height.....or if you don't have a mig, I think it's a required 2 beers for your buddy that does. Third one - he's on his own!
