Well, looks like I dropped the ball and let a few Eliminator ads slip through the cracks. Funny thing is I've been seeing these ads for so long that I didn't even think to include them in the list.

There are a few others that pop up regularly, but I dont' see them currently. I'll get them added in next time I see them.

Wonder if I should make this a Blog. Never had a blog before...

Here you go. Check my gallary for more pics. Thanks! Geoff.
Ah ha! I remember that car now. I remember reading a thread with this pic, I think very shortly after you found the car.

What do you have planned for it?

It's just sitting. I have no idea what i'm going to do with it. Divorce is still ongoing. Do you need it?
Man, I would if I actually had a place for a project. My only hope at this point would be to find something that runs and drives, so I can finagle it through congress somehow.

That 1969 Orange that is Prescott Arizona, is a very nice car, but it is not a real Eliminator. How do I know? Because, I bought my 1969 red/red standard convertible from the same AZ cougar club person! The 1969 convertible was in an accident, and he used the insurance $$ on that car, and bought the 1969 XR7 (Elim clone).

Yeah, i've seen recent ads for similar cars that mentioned it being a clone, but this one didn't so I thought it might be a different car. I wasn't paying close enough attention to the ads that mentioned clone, so I didn't recall where the clone was listed before.

Thanks for the heads up!

Spotted this one yesterday, but it is... vague. However, he changed his ad since yesterday, so maybe there is something to it.

http://syracuse.craigslist.org/cto/2435719429.html

Originally:
i'm listing this for my son. i know it is on the road and he drove it here. and it.s kinda loud. other than that, it's a 351 windsor eliminator package, body is in good condition trunk is solid, fraim rails look great, and it has working retractable light covers. also new tires on the rear. if i had the time i'd restore it to original cond, but i don't.so it goes to someone that will. ATTENTION:: photos to follow tomorrow..<!-- START CLTAGS -->

Now:
SORRY,BUT I'M TAKING THIS AD OFF UNTIL I CAN DEVOTE TIME TO GETTING PICTURES AND MEETING WITH PEOPLE . i just don't have time right now to do this. please be advised.

Either way, $2k for a 69 351 car that runs is probably not bad.

yes, $2000 is a great price for a real Eliminator. I would guess that it probably isn't a real one though for that price. Too many people think they have a real Eliminator, if the car has a scoop and spoiler on it.

Mike and all those looking for a 1970 Eliminator,

Here is a new lead, on a 1970 428CJ Cougar Eliminator. Owned by a member of this forum, the car is in Canada, and now recently for sale. 1970 428CJ Eliminator, Comp. Blue, white interior, complete project car, with many new parts included (not installed). Original car, but needs restoration. Owned many years. 428CJ automatic (I think?). Ram air. Needs engine rebuild. Has had body repair, and new paint, but paint needs finished up, buffed out. Has had fairly extensive rust repair. Pans, quarters, torque boxes, etc. Contact the owner via email @ [email protected]. He is asking $32K for everything. I would be interested, but it is beyond my budget at this point.

Yeah, beyond my budget too ...unless I sell my Cobra and throw all my project car money at it too. But then I wouldn't have any money to finish it (at least not in a hurry), and i'd be biking to work. I guess I'd have room in the garage for it though, with the Cobra gone... and I've been wanting to get more exercise... LOL! :)

Wheels are turning now... I could buy a cheap old 76-78 Mustang Cobra II for my daily driver while I work on the cat... Hrm...
