I saw the Yellow parts car Eliminator in PHX about 1 year ago. It was in a "private" wrecking yard, and to be brutally honest, the previous owner was pretty much a jerk. It could be saved, but only with a ton of work. Seems unlikely when you can get a running driving Eliminator for under $10K these days...

Well, at the risk of finding a deal too tempting to pass up...

Where does one find a running, driving Eliminator for under $10k these days? >.>

One of the Arizona Cougar Club members sold his 1970 351C 4 speed 3.91 rear end ratio (yes it was factory that way) Yellow Eliminator last year for $8.9K. It was a nice car. I was thinking about buying it, but I'm not a Yellow paint fan. Keep looking and you will find one. $9K to $13K or so seem to be typical prices for driver type Eliminators...at least in my opinion....

It turns out that this Eliminator is now in the hands of a fellow AZ Cougar club member, Greg W. He is asking around $4500 for the car, which includes a rust free 1969 Arizona Cougar shell (no engine), which can be used for the doors, fenders, and quarter panel needed to fix the Eliminator. A Marti Report has been ordered. This Eliminator was a 351W - 4 speed car originally, so it is worth fixing to the right person. I have a 1969 351W core engine that could be had as well. Best Regards!

No - sorry for the confusion, the $4500 car is not the 1970 Yellow Elim (that one went out of State). The $4500 asking price is for the 1969 Yellow Eliminator, major project, missing the quarter panel - the 1st car listed in the original posting. Not my car, so don't beat me up on the asking price.

No problem :) I don't have space for a full-on project (yet), but I'm still looking. I figure if I'm looking I might as well pass along anything I do find for anyone that might be interested. And then I can live vicariously through you guys. Besides, you never know when the right driver will come along, right?

I've been "searching" for over a year now, and I've noticed an odd trend for Eliminator listings. They come in waves. Weeks will go by with no Eliminators listed. Then all of a sudden 4 of them will pop up within days of each other. Very odd!

Scott - Is the $4500 Eliminator the '70 you were talking about above, or is it a different car?
