This one is off the market I believe. I spoke to him a while back and he'd decided to start restoring it.

Also, the Hertz '69 is interesting. Where could I find more info on those cars?

Thanks for the update Jay.

As for the Hertz Eliminators, i'm not sure where you could find good info on them. I tried googling it and didnt' get much beyond "100 sunroof Eliminators made for Hertz". I believe there were about 100 for '69, and then another 100 for '70. IIRC, all the Hertz Eliminators had sunroofs, and only a very few non-Hertz Eliminators had sunroofs.

I'm sure someone else here has better info / details and will chime in.

You're a better man than me. As soon as those words passed my wife's lips, that car would be in my driveway. But I am kind of a Neanderthal. :bloated:

Id love to line my shop up with project cars.I have had my fair share of cars in my days i will eventually get my 70 done and the blue 80 chevy truck within 2-3 years.I guess i am just getting tired of working on the same 2 vehicles for over 20 years.Tearing apart my 70 for the 5th n final time and the 80 will be its last time to, just want a fresh project to build once these 2 are done.I`m sure people here know what its like, its like eating the same meal for days on end and you lose that interest in that meal after 2-3 days.

thanks

Pat, did you happen to get any pics or other details about the car that we could pass along? If I may ask, what kind of price was he asking, and do you have his contact info so that I can add it to the list?

Thanks,

Ya, saw that this morning. I thought it might be Jon Miller's (TwoTone68) old car ~ his was in Ohio and practically identical right down to the 3speed converted to 4speed. But it has a different VIN, so...

'70 w/ 351, 4-speed (originally 3-speed). Comp orange with black interior (originally "AA" white with black appointments). Marti Report. Located in Ohio.

I got an email about a car this morning, so I'll add that info later today.

Is that R2D2 by the rear of the car? LOL
I think it is! It looks like one of those R2D2 ice bins for storing sodas, maybe. Either that or a trash can!

I was surprised to see the Incredible Hulk and the Silver Surfer too!
Oh, and Herbie too!

Update on these;

'70 w/ 351, auto(?). Comp blue with black(?) interior. Owner is a member here (whose name I forget). I recall he also has (had?) a pretty crusty Comp Gold '70 Eliminator.
http://www.torinocobra.com/forum/vie...hp?f=7&t=22478
Also mentioned previously in threads here.
Mark ([email protected]) emailed me back with some info about his cars.

"I still have both of the Eliminators. The Comp Blue car is a very good car and I have been in talks with several seriously interested parties, but as yet it has not sold.
Car is ROCK Solid and has original paint from the doors back. It had a light nose bump years ago that required the fenders and hood get replaced. M-code automatic with PS, PDB, AT, Decor Interior. Off the road and indoor stored since the late 70's. Sold new out of the Atlanta District at Mullinax Lincoln-Mercury in Cleveland, TN. Runs good, needs easy cosmetic resto. The Comp Orange car is RUFF and missing parts. Original M-code 3-speed Manual Trans car. Currently has a 351C-2V in it with the original trans and rear end.
I have 2 70 Parts cars to go along with this car at extra cost which would provide most of the parts to complete the car."
