eliminator hood scoops. where can I find one. I used to have a 70 cougar when I was a young dope smokin punk. Now that I'm much older and still a punk, I bought another 70 to remind me of all the good times I had in the first one. This one is much nicer though. 20,600 original miles. Cost me a little more than the first too. Anyway, I 'm trying to make it just like the first cat, fast and bad as hell looking and would love to find an eliminator style scoop. It will go nicely with the spoiler I just put on it. any help will be greatly appreciated.TIA

They're available in repro from most cougar vendors...

The bolt placements in the repros are bad. You have to drill double holes to get the nuts on. And if you try to tighten them to take the gaps out between the scoop and the hood, the studs will break out.

There was one on eBay, as of yesterday. Some of the vendors may have some. Also check ou 1971-72 Comet GTs (the same) and 82-83 Capri 5.0 and Mudtang GTs (similar).
