Greetings: will an edelbrock performer RPM intake fit under a stock hood in a 1969 XR7? I think the answer is no, based on what I've read?

Thanks for the help!

the preformer rpm intake is aprox. .90 inches taller then a stock intake .... Edelbrock says it clears on the 69 mustangs and I do believe it will clear on the 69 Cougars depending on air cleaner to be used .... I am sure some of our 69 Cougar owners will chime in with what they have found ......

Although not a Windsor, I have the Air Gap with a Quick Fuel SS-750-AN (Holley type) carb on my 408C and a stock W air cleaner base along with other parts to make a ram-air setup and the height is perfect.
