Hello cats, was wondering if modifications would need to be done to the driveshaft if I swap out my fmx and install a c-6 from a 1970 with the same engine. And is a C6 tranny and a C4 tranny the same length? Thanks in advance.

The C6 is a much bigger tranny and is longer. You'll need to have your driveshaft shortened.

You'll also noticed when the C6 is in, it may seem like you have less power. The C6 is notorious for being really strong and for robbing more power from the motor...

KEEP THE FMX

I HAVE SEEN 600 HP 351 WINDSORS STILL RUNNING THE ORIGINAL FMX. IT IS ONE OF THE BEST FORD AUTO TRANNY'S BUT JUST A LITTLE UNKNOWN. PEOPLE ALWAYS SEEM TO GO FOR THE C-4 OR C-6. STICK WITH THE FMX..:D
