I am looking for the drivers side shock plate that goes under the leaf springs for a big block 428 CJ car for the staggered shock set up for a 69 Cougar.
Yes, that is how staggered shocks are configured, one (lower) mount is on the back of the axle (DS) and the other in the front (PS, "normal" installation). Using a PS lower shock plate on the DS accomplishes this and that is what Scott is suggesting.In other words, is one bracket just installed 180%?
I see what you are saying, at least from the part number stamping, but they sure look the same as each other otherwise! So yeah, guess from a concours perspective it wouldn't fly, but physically I don't see why the idea wouldn't work.I am not the expert here, but don't believe you can just switch them around....here is an EBAY link to a set of staggered for Boss 302 etc..

I dont think getting two of the same side will solve the problem....each side for the staggered is different.....
