In reading through cougarguy's link from the "'68 in Pittsburgh" thread, I noticed:
"Power front Disc Brakes. 1967 Cougar uses 4-piston fixed (non-floating) caliper design. 1968 Cougar uses single piston fixed (floating) caliper design."
Is this only for the GT, or is this for any '67 or '68 cars with disc brakes option? Which is better? (I have a '68 with power disc brakes, but I have a donor '67 that I think has front discs...)

My 66 'stang has factory disc.... it uses the original 4-piston version. My understanding is that 4-piston worked better than the single piston, but that the single was cheaper. Either work better than drum, let me tell ya!

Oh yeah... to actually answer your question, the change from 4-piston to single-piston was made across the entire Ford galaxy of vehicles. Er... not Ford Galaxy. Well, Ford Galaxy too, but....
