hi,

I need some help with a problem I'm having
with the dash lights on my 67 xr-7.
When I make a turn either left or right both of
the arrows on my dash light up and blink!!
Could this be a bad hazzard relay? If so is the relay
found under the dash or in the trunk?? What does the
relay look like and is it a easy and low cost fix?

Thanks for your insight.

Troubleshooting sequentials

There are numerous threads on the site regarding turn signal problems. Do a search for "sequential" or "turn signal" and they will show up. Also, Cougars Unlimited has a very helpful troubleshooting page - here is the link for the 67-68: http://www.thuntek.net/cougars_unlimited/seqts.htm

The system is ridiculously simple by today's standards, but that late 60's technology will drive you crazy! Most people with classic Cougars have had some type of experience with these things so if you do a search you may pick up on some good ideas that will help you save some money - like filing the contact points, cleaning the electric motor, tracing a ground, etc. There is no substitute for experience, so ask away!
