On the 73 they say "Only 332 of these cougars remain nationally." How do they know that, I wonder ?

6634, '73 Standard 'vert with 351C-2V and a bunch of added underhood and interior bling,.. With no other info regarding mileage, options, etc.,... I'd say a maximum of $10,250

The bid of 13500.00 makes sense now. Went to Russo&Steele yesterday and looked over the 71 - It was the same car that was there last year as a barn find! they had preformed a quicky cosmetic resto and then done a "mechanical inspection to assure safe operation and functionality"

The car had a number of issues
1 Missing Trim - no wheel lip moldings - missing center molding from rear of hood
2 Incorrect trim - mustang rocker moldings - about 3" too short.
3 New Vinyl interior - grain pattern was wrong
4 door panels - had some type of vinyl overlay with 2 seems on each arm rest.
5 Missing name plates from trunk
6 vinyl back window - should be glass
7 15X7 Wheel trim rings - had been chrome plated - instead of polished stainless.

Wasn't able to see the engine compartment or in the trunk!

There are a number of reasons why cars do/dont do well when going up for bid and unless you see them in person - you'll get a true appreciation of the cars true condition.
