Please forgive me if I'm posting this in the wrong place.

A friend of mine has a 69 mustang convertible. He desparately needs the chrome hockey sticks (the trim around the base of top by the trunk). I know someone who has some from a 69 cougar. My friend was told that the trim from a regular 69 cougar are the same as the mustang, but the ones from the XR-7 are different.

So, my questions are:

Are the hockey sticks for a 69 cougar in fact the same as a 69 mustang?
Is there really a difference between the trim for a regular cougar & an XR-7? And if so, what is the difference?
What is the part number for the hockey sticks?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, the 1969 mustang and 1969 non-Xr7 convertible trim pieces are the same. The XR7 versions are different, as they extend the full length down up to the door, whereas the standard pieces end at the convertible boot area. In fact, I just sold a set of mine to a Mustang owner and they bolted right up.
