I live in Boston & just purchased a 1967 Cougar Coupe with a 351 C engine and a new Tremec 5 speed manual trans, clutch, flywheel, etc. The clutch has a hydraulic connection to the clutch pedal. The friction point is very high and I need to get it down further. I would like to have a mechanic take care of this. How can I find a mechanic familiar with late sixties experience with Mustang/Cougar experience?

Unless I am mistaken hydraulic clutches are self adjusting if the pedal release is very high I think that it is indicating that the clutch is about worn out. Of course I would have a mechanic check it.
