Tom from KTL and I had a discussion this morning about whether a Comp Blue 70 Eliminator with Blue Standard or Decor interior should have a blue carpet or a black carpet. The lower dash is blue and the upper dash pad is black. Any answers?

Joe,

My Sept, 1969 built 1970 Eliminator, with a Blue Standard interior had a blue carpet, blue lower dash and a black dash pad. This was still the original carpet.

Joe, sorry for not being clear, that is a '70 Eliminator but it was built in September of 1969.

Jeff, there are times where build date makes a difference.

Some examples, for 1968, the change in the shock towers on FE equipped Cougars.
For 1969 the color of the cowl within the engine compartment changed sometime in April of 1969.
For 1970 the lettering on the Goodyear F70-14 tires changed in December of 1969.

Just trying to make statements that are correct for the information that I know.
