Nope. You're good to go. You might want to check to make sure that the carb and gasket are fully supported and covering all of the intake opening. Some aftermarket intakes don't have a lot of gasket sealing surface.
Back in the 90's I had to use an adapter plate to mate a square bore Holley 4150 style carb to an Edelbrock Performer intake.
