I made a bunch of calls today to try to find someone who would cad plate a few small parts. I was told at every local place that it was illegal (even though several of them featured it in their Yellow Pages ad. I know that I can still buy cad plated bolts.
Is this just in the Peoples Republic of Minnesota (the place where nothing is allowed) or is there some kind of new federal law?

If you end up doing alot of cad plating things, ever tried getting a kit form Eastwood company. They sell a home do-it-yourself kit, and it seems pretty reasonable. You could even make money on the side. I plan on getting into doing alot of things like that in the future, powder coating, plating, etc. It could end up being real profitable in the backyard sense.

Rick, the kit I found in Eastwood was for tin-zinc. Is there on for cadmium?
