That is nice looking unit.
I was into distributors recently and found that Ford used both C8DF and C8OF prefixes, and the D's and Zeros are definitely hard to read and i think they may even have differed in apperance a bit depending who made the part or when it was made.. D's look like C's and Zeros don't. I dont think a "zero" is used in this 4 position prefix. I was involved with learning about dists for a 68 302 problem I was dealing with. In section 9 page 38 of the 68 shop manual I found stuff that helped me understand this mess. The O-ring seal on the one you have is not what I have on my old distributors. The ones I have use a plain 1.5 inch or so O-ring lke you might get at ACE hardware.
