Hi guys, finally starting tearing down my car to do a restoratiion and i took the carpet in the cab out and noticed rust but i didnt see any holes through the metal,

I was trying to figure out the best way to do this ive heard about the por 15 stuff but i wasent sure how good it is or the other option cut out the bad and put a new floor pan in

here are the pics of the cab

looks mostly like surface rust - but you may want to poke it and be sure it's solid everywhere, then wire wheel it, hit it with a good acid etch primer, then finnish it with whatever you like. Try to match up the stock finnish if that's what your after. Looks rock solid though! Nice....

If it'snot solid, then you will want to deal with it right away - cut it out, and weld in new if it needs it. that will prevent further derioration. The por15 stuff is pretty tough and will hold up quite well once you have prepped it. (If y that's the finnish you want)
