Hello All, The choke on my 2100 carb. has no piston inside it. Is this normal? I have read some rebuild articles that have said to adjust this with a paper clip. Another problem I have is when I step on the gas I get a slight hesitation. What would possibly correct this problem? My engine is a 351c auto. Thanks

I seem to remember reading that some later versions of the 2100 (perhaps the Motorcraft variety) didn't use the piston, just the old style housing. If your carb is supposed to have the piston and it's missing, you'll have vacuum issues such as bad idle and bogging on acceleration.
