I recently bought a rebuilt control valve for my '70 standard cougar. I disconnected all the lines and am trying to get the pitman arm off the valve. The problem I am having is that the pitman arm and control valve don't have enough clearance to seperate. do I need to disconnect all the tie rods, or remove the pitman arm from the steering box? I am at a major loss right now. thanx for any help in advance!!

Drop the idler arm down, its only 2 bolts and if I remember right that should give you the room you need.mm
