I broke the parking brake handle on my 68 again this afternoon. After the first one broke, I learned to grab the whole shaft instead of just the handle part, but I found out the drawback to this approach-- when the handle broke, my hand sprung back across all that sharp broken plastic-- OUCH! Since this is the second handle I've broken in as many years I am determined to find something stronger. I think this may be it: http://www.mustangsplus.com/xcart/1967-68-Black-Billet-Handle.html

It's certainly more $$$ than the plastic repops but if it spares further pain, I suppose it's worth it.

I like the looks of that handle a lot, but I hate to think what it could to your leg if there was a crash

I don't imagine it would inflict any more injury than all the other brackets, bolts, etc. that are under there. At least this is smooth and not likely to break into sharp pointy bits.
