Probably got Brainfade on this but are there any clubs dedicated to the 89 - 97 cougars/thunderbirds? I want to do some "additions " to my 91 Eliminator but don't want to "Hack" it up. Thanks, Bosscat40.
I think most people who have MN12's don't know what an MN12 is. I've had my 91 XR7 since 1993 and didn't know what an MN12 was until about a year ago. To me, it's just a Cougar, but not a real one. They stopped making Cougars in the 1970 model year.

It’s amazing how close the 89—93 are to the 67 and 68 in size, weight, interior space, trunk space, and appointments. I really believe that Ford/ Mercury made a real attempt to bring it back but I guess it didn’t work out.
I really enjoy my 93 and drive it everyday. It has already had the head gasket fix and a new front end. I’ll stock up on a few parts for the future and maybe I can get a few hundred thousand out of it.
When Mercury changed the dash in 94 it gave the driver less leg room.
Out of the 89-97 I like the interiors and the body trim of the 89-93 the best.
