I am laying in the main harness on a 70 Cougar, and have most of it hooked up but there is a black wire (10 gauge) about 2 feet long with a yellow 3 hole plug on the end coming from a stud on the fuse panel. What plugs into this?

Carlton, Hello. If thinking correctly from memory, that wiring lead is used as a power source for convertible top. A wire with a male pin plugs in and goes through the firewall to a relay that mounts on the battery-side shock tower. Think that's what it is anyway...

Sounds like the accessory power pigtail. On my 69 convt., the top is powered with a wire from the starter solenoid with fusible link. The accessory pigtail is used for the tilt column power feed.
