I have factory A/C with my 428CJ, in a convertible no less. I have the Eminger report to verify it also.
Now a SCJ is a different matter, the steep gears were incompatable with A/C cars, as they were limited to 3.00-3.25.

A/C in a CJ

The reason you couldn't order a/c in a Super Cobra Jet was because the oil cooler and lines were routed and mounted in the same place the a/c lines and condencer would have went. And as stated above , there were 428CJ cars with a/c in 1969.

Being in Texas you get really hot in the summer. Or I do anyway.
Right now my S-code is looking a little better...:D

My 1969 CJ has A/C and came with a 3.25 rear. Thank goodness it has A/C!

I kinda think A/C would be nice though....
Maybe if I drive fast enough I wont know the difference....LOL. [/B]
My '68 has (had?) A/C but I always liked the 2x50 A/C, with the manual door controls. :D (Once it comes out here to LA I guess I'll get a free upgrade to 2x60 or even 2x70, I gotta do a LOT more work before it'll handle 2x80 sustained...)
