Is there anyone who knows about later model Cougars? Mine starts and runs for a few minutes, begins running roughly and dies. It won't restart after that. I have tried to use an inexpensive actron code scanner, but get no error codes. Help!

Check to make sure you have about 60 psi fuel pressure. Could be the fuel pump or fuel pressure module. Fuel issues will be missed most of the time with a scanner.

How many miles?
I would guess that the pump, regulator, or filter (or all of the above) are bad or going bad.

127,000 mi. I replaced the filter the first thing and it didn't help. It had been replaced @ 69,000 miles. I will check the pump pressure next. Thanks for the tip.

Replaced it the first thing. It had been about 60,000 miles since it had been done. Someone suggested checking the fuel pressure. Guess that's the next step. Thanks for your interest & help. I'll try to keep you posted.
