New coil and tune, rebuilt Carb, She has no power and hesitates with backfire, new fuel filter(s). The fuel pump does not seen to be putting out a huge amont. 2300 carb. Maybe cats are plugged maybe fuel pump, give me some clues, thanx people, money tight and trying.:uhoh:

Its hard to diagnose these things via keyboard, but more info would help. For instance:

Were carb, coil and "tune" all installed simultaneously? If not, what effect, if any, did each have? What, exactly, did the "tune" consist of? How was it running before all those things were done? Is the motor bone stock or modified, and if so, how? How many miles are on it?

vacume advance might not be working right.

these engines are dog with artheritis with out the mechanical-vac advance working right.

i see you had the carb and tune done but a lean out when you step on the gas could mean an accelerator pump not set up or working right.

plugged cats will always make it run like the artheritic dog. :)

also these engines were loaded with thermal vacume valves and the supporting hoses that could leak-malfunction. are they still on the car or have they been removed and altered.
this could also effect timing control.
