I have a '72 Cougar with a 351C 2V. It needs a carburetor so I'm considering either of two options:

1. Get a rebuilt 2 bbl for $150 and I'm done, or

2. Get an Edelbrock 2V 4bbl intake with an Edelbrock Performer 500 or 600 CFM 4bbl carburetor.

If I go with number 2, what CFM is the best match for the 2V head, 500 or 600. Also, do I need to replace the entire exhaust, including the headers, or can I get away with something less?

Here's a photo, I just added the tires, wheels, and shocks.
